What is the UK Driving Theory Test?

The UK driving theory test is a mandatory examination set by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) that every learner driver must pass before they can take their practical driving test. It tests your knowledge of the Highway Code, road signs, and safe driving practices.

How is the Theory Test Structured?

The test has two distinct parts, both taken in the same appointment:

• Multiple-Choice Section: 50 questions from the official DVSA question bank. You have 57 minutes. Pass mark: 43/50.
